Hi guys im new here.
I've just downloaded patch 0.96 for my original japanese Umineko game, but the start button doesnt show up when i start up the game. As in, it just shows a background screen (the mansion for chapter 1, aquarium for chapter 2, so on...), with totally no options to choose from. Please help! Thanks a lot.
Thanks for helping. Anyway, english is fine. I've tried reinstalling everything and i realised that when i replaced arc2.nsa in the original game from the one in the patch, the problem as mentioned above happens. This doesnt happen for arc1.nsa though. What do you think?

In order to patch your japanese game, you replace them with the original game files. BUT, the 0.96 english game patch is done by ADDING ON files to the english language patch FOLDER. You do NOT replace .96 files with original japanese, you will destroy your copy of the game, just like you did.
If you want to replace these files, use the Non-English Version patch.
Next time, READ the directions, and select the right patch.

Thanks for the help. I managed to get the game working fine with the ps3 tweaks. However, at Episode 2, during one of the first few scenes where George and Shannon are walking along the beach, i encountered a script error which causes the game to close. It says: Undefined string alias 'sha_2e82' at line 66600 (*umi2_opning:689) and something about dwave 0 below. Do you need a screenshot of the error?
